Hello, I have an Epson 9890 on which I changed the printhead on. I am getting an error message that my ink cartridges are not compatable. All of them. If I pull one out and restart the machine it recognizes the cartridges but of course one is not installed. When I install that cartridge it go back to not recognizing any of them. Any idea on help? Thank you

you got the mother board short. Don’t waste time to find any problem. Find a used mother board on eBay

        Hello Luan,

Found a used mainboard on ebay. Seller said it was for an Epson 7900/7890/9890/9900 Purchased it and installed it. Now it says that I don’t have green and orange ink cartridges installed. That would be right since I never had those colors. It is a 9890. Can this be fixed? Thank you for the help

Not sure they can share mother board. 7900 & 9900 use same mother board for sure because I swapped from bad 7900 to 9900. But I don’t think 9890 can use 9900 mother board because of different inks.

Hi questions is it a good idea to convert the Epson Stylus Pro 9900 to DTF or sublimation and if so how or what are the steps that you recommend?

I bought an “open box” 4900 last week. All the tape was off but the ink carts were sealed in their original plastic baggies. I set up the printer and no print. Set up for manual feed, it is communicating with my mac, knows where to pull paper from, prints absolutely blank. The nozzle test says every single nozzle is clogged but how can they be clogged when it has never printed a thing???

Try to flush the ink through the print head. look for that function in the setup menu of the printer. Good luck

Hello and thanks so much for that tip. I do not have a flush option in my set up menu. If I could reset it to factory settings I could do a charge cycle again, but I have not been able to figure out how to do a reset.

Thanks though! All help very much appreciated!
